Volunteers serving Rockford through Sustainable Action.

SusCom is a volunteer-run committee that serves the City of Rockford to improve residential quality of life through environmental sustainability. We connect stakeholders, advise practices, and empower action to improve the sustainability of the City of Rockford.  

What We Do

  • Connect Stakeholders

    Our committee is comprised of Rockford residents, business owners, parents, City officials, and Nonprofit leaders. We advance environmental and economic sustainability by facilitating collaboration and discussion between diverse stakeholders in the community.

  • Advise Practices

    We advise and address citizens’ sustainability concerns by acting as a liaison between residents and the City of Rockford. We learn about citizens’ concerns at our regular events, meetings, and through website feedback forms.

  • Empower Action

    We empower residents, businesses, schools, and government to become more sustainable through education, service events, and hands-on implementation projects.
